Software development case studies.

These software development case studies show what we actually shipped from Mexicali, on the U.S. border: shop-floor systems for manufacturing plants, headless ecommerce, a mobile app for technicians in the field, a multilingual corporate site and a custom operations portal — each with the problem it solved and the numbers it moved.

01 — Overview

Real projects, real outcomes.

Every project below is in production. Each one follows the same format: the challenge the client faced, what we built, and the results they measured afterwards. Our clients' names are confidential, so we describe each project by industry and scope instead — the systems and the numbers are real.

If you are evaluating a nearshore software development partner, this is the fastest way to see how we work: plant-floor tools where downtime costs money, customer-facing stores where speed drives sales, and internal software that replaced spreadsheets.

2025 · Manufacturing

Real-time Andon system

The challenge

On a 14-station production line, every minute a station sits stopped is lost output. The plant needed a line-alert system that made a stoppage visible the moment it happened, got it in front of the right supervisor without depending on someone walking the floor, and measured how long it took to respond.

What we built

  • A real-time Andon with a dashboard for every station on the line.
  • Automatic escalation to supervisors when an alert is not attended.
  • Response-time metrics per station, so the plant can see where time is lost.
  • Web-based access from any internet-connected device — no special hardware to view it.

2026 · Manufacturing

Digital ToolCrib

The challenge

Tool loans on the plant floor were tracked with Excel sheets and coordinated over radios. That meant no reliable record of who had which tool, on which shift, and no clear way to explain missing tools when inventory didn't match.

What we built

  • A touch kiosk installed on the floor, where operators check tools in and out.
  • QR codes for every loan and return, so each movement is captured in seconds.
  • Per-shift traceability of every tool.
  • Shrinkage reports for the tool crib and management.

Results

  • Excel sheets and radios for tool loans were eliminated entirely.
  • Full audit of each tool, with its usage history and the responsible operator.

2025 · Retail

Multi-brand headless store

The challenge

Three sister retail brands needed to sell online without running three separate stores, three catalogs and three back offices. The store also had to work with the payment gateways and shipping carriers the business already used, and with an existing ERP — while staying fast on mobile.

What we built

  • A headless ecommerce platform with one unified catalog for the 3 brands.
  • A checkout optimized for mobile.
  • A shared admin panel to manage all three brands in one place.
  • Integrations with local payment gateways, shipping carriers and the existing ERP.

2024 · Services

Field app for technicians

iOS · Android

The challenge

A services company with a large team of technicians on the road was losing hours to paperwork: reports captured in the field had to be typed in again back at the office. Technicians also work in places without a reliable signal, so any tool had to keep working offline.

What we built

  • A mobile app for iOS and Android built for technicians on route.
  • Offline capture, so work orders can be completed with no connection.
  • Client digital signature right on the device.
  • Geotagged photos attached to each job.
  • Automatic background sync as soon as the device is back online.

2024 · Marketing

Multilingual corporate site

Headless CMS

The challenge

A corporate website serving audiences in four languages — including investors — had to be easy for the marketing team to update without developers, and fast enough to make a strong first impression on every device.

What we built

  • A site on an editable headless CMS, so the team manages content on its own.
  • A news system for company announcements.
  • An investor portal.
  • Full content in 4 languages.

2023 · Logistics

Operations portal for logistics

The challenge

Shipment coordination ran on five shared Excel sheets and a long internal email thread. Information about carriers, routes and customs paperwork lived in different places, and nobody had a single, up-to-date view of how each route was performing.

What we built

  • A custom lightweight ERP for shipment coordination.
  • Carrier integration via API.
  • Automatic generation of customs documentation.
  • KPI dashboards for every route.

03 — How we work

The process behind every case study.

Every project on this page went through the same four steps. Timelines depend on scope, but you see working software early and often — never a big reveal at the end. Want a team that stays with you after launch? Look at our dedicated development teams.
